Adrien closes his bedroom door, ready to transform into Cat Noir, but he pauses as he stares down at his Miraculous. He can’t stop thinking about the party going on downstairs and how good it felt to have people there to celebrate his birthday with him.

Plagg notices that Adrien is hesitating and takes the opportunity to make a little mischief.

“What’s your problem?” Plagg taunts. “Relax! You’re getting the party you’ve always wanted!”

Like Tikki, Adrien’s Kwami is small, but Plagg is much naughtier than Marinette’s Kwami.

“But Nino’s been akumatized!” Adrien is torn between wanting to do the right thing and wanting to enjoy his birthday party. “I’ve gotta help him!”

“You may never get this chance again!” Plagg’s eyes twinkle. “Come on! Let’s have a little fun while your father’s away. Then we’ll save Nino, trap his akuma… and all will be good!”

The hurt and loneliness Adrien has been feeling all day rise to the surface. He suddenly has a strong desire to disobey his absent father.

“Okay,” Adrien says, a determined expression on his face. “You’re right. This might be the first day in my life that I get to do what I want for once!”
